Couple accused of selling Class A drugs from home

A COUPLE are to stand trial this month accused of supplying Class A drugs.

Thomas Haughton, 27, and 31-year-old Lisa McGhee have been accused of supplying cocaine from Ms McGhee’s home at Hercus Loan, Musselburgh, earlier this year.

It is also alleged Haughton, of North Bank Road, Prestonpans, and McGhee were supplying heroin from the same address.

A third charge states both accused were caught in possession of criminal property which is said to be the proceeds of drug dealing activities.

Haughton and McGhee will return to court to face trial today after lodging not guilty pleas at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

Both Haughton and McGhee are accused of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and diamorphine at Hercus Loan, Musselburgh, on February 6 this year.

It is also alleged both accused had £2060.57 in cash which is said to have been the proceeds from their alleged drug dealing at the same address on the same date.

Haughton is said to have committed the offences having been granted bail at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on July 15, 2013.

McGhee is said to have committed the drug offences having been granted bail at Haddington Sheriff Court on October 29 last year.
