Driver fails to stop at police signal and abandons car in Edinburgh

Police are appealing for witnesses after a reckless driver refused to stop on Ferry Road.

The driver then abandoned the grey Volkswagen in Eildon Street, near the Botanic Gardens before running away.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged since the incident and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow.
