The Amazon depot in Dunfermline has been cordoned off by police as a suspicious package sparked fears of an explosive.

The emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.25 pm on Sunday, September 27.

A cordon was set up and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal will be attending to inspect the package in question.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.25pm on Sunday, 27 September, 2020, police received a report of a suspicious package found within the Amazon depot in Dunfermline.

"Emergency services are in attendance and a cordon has been put in place.

“EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) will attend to inspect the package and enquiries are ongoing.”

This is the second time the Dunfermline Amazon Depot has been subjected to a bomb scare as the area was also evacuated on September 6 after reports of a suspicious package were received by the police.
