Edinburgh police have issued a warning to motorists after community feedback complained of unsafe driving during the lockdown.

The police have sent officers out on the roads on Tuesday to enforce the rules of the road, especially with regard to 'vulnerable road users’ such as cyclists and pedestrians.

This comes just over a week after a list of road offences resulting in arrests during lockdown was released by Police Scotland.

This list included six people who were arrested for speeding across Edinburgh, a man from Kirkcaldy who was driving four times over the legal alcohol limit and a 21-year-old in Inverness who failed a roadside drug test.
