Police were called to Ferry Road at about 8:50pm on Sunday as the theft was in progress and, upon arrival, saw the thugs driving off on two mopeds moments before the collision.
The stolen Deliveroo moped, which was carrying two people, mounted the pavement at Easter Drylaw Place and was driven on to a pedestrianised area towards shops on Ferry Road and hit the girl as she cycled there.

The girl was taken to hospital by road ambulance and suffered minor cuts and bruises.
Inspector Keith Forrester, of Drylaw Police Station, said: "The behaviour of these males was extremely reckless and I was very relieved to hear that the 13-year-old girl's injuries were thankfully minor.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this crash or who can help us identify the males on the mopeds.

One, Sharon Farquhar, wrote: "Taking advantage of the crisis we're all in, the poor police and NHS staff are struggling as is, but these thugs don't care about anyone but themselves, parents must be proud!
"Hope the girl makes a speedy recovery."
It's not the first time that motorbike joyriders have knocked a child down in the area.
