Gorgie Road incident: crews called out to fire at Edinburgh takeaway

Four appliances were sent to assist with a fire at a takeaway in Gorgie Road, believed to be Pepe’s Piri Piri, at about 6pm on Sunday, 25 October.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “We received a call at 6.09pm about a fire at a takeaway in Gorgie Road.

"Four pumps were sent, and we left the scene by 8.35pm.

"No injuries have been reported.”

A concerned resident nearby who took pictures of the scene said the fire happened in Pepe’s Piri Piri.
