Hair straighteners and cash stolen in Livingston salon raid

A thief stole cash and three pairs of hair straighteners in an overnight raid at a hairdressers.

Wonderland Hair and Beauty in Livingston, West Lothian, was targeted at around 12.15am on Monday.

A four-figure sum was taken from the salon at The Parkway retail square, along with three pairs of Babyliss hair straighteners.

Police want to trace a man seen in the area around the time of the robbery who got out of a red Fiat Punto car.

Detective Constable Greig Muir said: “The theft of this money and the hair straighteners will undoubtedly have a financial impact on the salon and we are keen to trace the culprits and return the stolen goods as soon as possible.

“Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around the store during the early hours of Monday morning should contact police immediately.”
