Hyvot Park: Police investigate after discovering body in Edinburgh property

Police Scotland is investigating after the body of a man was discovered within a property in Hyvot Park, Edinburgh, on Thursday.

Officers confirmed that a 41-year-old man was discovered dead just after 4pm on June 10 and his death is being treated as “unexplained”.

The news comes just days after a man was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries at the same property.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The body of a 41-year-old man was found within a property at Hyvot Park in Edinburgh around 4.10pm on Thursday, June 10.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

"Due to previous contact with the man, the circumstances have been referred to Police Scotland's Professional Standards Department for review."
