After the break-in, which took place in the early hours of the morning of Friday, April 24, a town Crowdfunding page was set up to support the charity after it’s loss.

The page, which has already raised over £800, was set up by local Laura Dickson, who said: “It’s just ridiculous, the Salvation Army helps people, especially during this time, it’s terrible that someone would go and do that to them.

“People care about the place they live, well, most people care about the place they live, and it keeps people going, especially at this time.”
