Man held over frozen fish theft

A MAN has been arrested and charged over the theft of 20 boxes of frozen fish.

The 24-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal after the fish worth £300 was stolen from Campbell Brothers Fish Company in Broxburn on Christmas Eve.

Two other men have been charged with break-ins in Broxburn under Operation RAC, the police crackdown on burglars.

A 46-year-old man was charged over a break-in at Binny Plants Garden Centre on October 23, and a 29-year-old man was charged over a break-in to the Lidl store in Greendykes Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Chief Inspector Kevin Kerr said: “Acquisitive crime will not be tolerated.”
