A RAPIST forced himself on a woman who was sleeping at a house-warming party.

Callum McDonald pulled the 20-year-old on to the floor and began trying to take off her trousers.

When the woman awoke at the house in Corstorphine on October 27, 2011, McDonald, 21, ignored her protests.

He denied rape, but a jury at the High Court in Edinburgh unanimously found him guilty.

Judge Lady Scott remanded McDonald, of Deanswood Park, Deans, Livingston, in custody ahead of sentencing in Glasgow next month.
