POLICE have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to after a man was attacked and hospitalised in a Capital street.

The assault took place around 11.20pm on Saturday, 23 November, 2019, on Bonnington Road.

The first man is described as white, 40-50 years old, medium build with grey hair and balding at the crown. He is pictured wearing a bright blue jacket with navy sections, dark trousers and black shoes.

The second man is described as white, around 30-years-old, slim build with dark hair and a dark beard. He is pictured wearing a dark jacket, a grey hoody with writing on the chest and blue jeans. He is believed to have limited use of his left arm and a limp on his left side.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may recognise the men pictured, as they believe they may have information that could help their investigation.

Detective Constable Sheila Silvagni, of Gayfield CID, said: "As part of the investigation, we are eager to identify the men in the images and would urge them, or anyone who recognises them, to get in touch with us immediately.”
