Police on scene after overnight incident on George Street

POLICE forensic staff were carrying out investigations in George Street today following an incident in the area last night.

Officers and forensic experts in white suits could be seen going in and out of basement premises at a building which appears to be undergoing renovation.

Police confirmed there had been an incident overnight but did not release any details.
