Walter Allan exposed himself to two schoolgirl sisters as they holidayed with their parents in Edinburgh in August 2015.

Allan stood in front of the nine-year-old and the 14-year-old with no clothes on his lower body and holding his exposed genitals as the girls walked together at the capital’s Portobello Promenade.

But the pervert, who was said to have been looking straight at the youngsters as he fondled himself, was later identified after the older girl managed to catch an image of him on her mobile.

Allan, from Musselburgh, East Lothian, also exposed himself to a third young girl on the same day by sitting next to her on a beach front wall and touched himself.

Sheriff Michael O’Grady QC jailed Allan for two years and placed him on the sex offenders register for three years.

He will also be supervised for 12 months following his release.
