Police a have appealed for witnesses after shots were fired at a house in the Capital.
No one was injured in the incident, which took place in Fernieside Avenue, Edinburgh, around 1am this morning.
Police said “a number of shots” had been fired at a property there, and the street was closed to traffic as forensic teams gathered evidence.
Although no one was injured in the incident, Detective Inspector Alan O’Brien is appealing for any witnesses to contact Police Scotland.
He said: “This was a very dangerous and reckless incident which could have had an entirely different outcome, and it is essential we find out who did this as soon as possible. I am appealing to anyone who has any knowledge about this incident whatsoever to contact Police Scotland on 101 or pass the information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
