Teenagers charged with throwing fireworks in Leith

TWO teenagers have been charged with reckless conduct after throwing fireworks into a crowd in Leith on Bonfire Night.

Police Scotland said the 16 and 15-year-old boys had also been charged with throwing a firework into an “occupied premises”.

There were no injuries or damage caused.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Two males have been charged with culpable and reckless conduct following an incident at an address in Leith on Tuesday 5th November.

“A 16-year-old was scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday 6th November, while a 15-year-old is subject to a report to the Children’s Reporter.”
