Three police bikes stolen

Have your say

POLICE chiefs have ordered officers to ensure their bikes are locked up after three cycles were stolen from the Western General Hospital.

Thieves struck at an apparently secure parking area used by officers from nearby Fettes HQ and were able to seize the unchained bikes.

A security warning has now been issued over the force’s computer network reminding officers of the dangers of leaving bikes unchained.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said: “We can confirm three cycles have been stolen from police headquarters.”
