Two injured after fight breaks out at Edinburgh funeral

TWO men were injured after a fight broke out at a funeral.

The bust-up happened at Portobello Cemetery last Friday.

Shocked witnesses watched as two men began arguing before violent scenes broke out.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses at the incident, which took place between 2pm and 3.30pm.

Detective Chief Inspector Kenny Gray said: “This incident caused great distress to those who were paying their respects to lost loved ones and we will not tolerate such inappropriate behaviour.

“We believe that many mourners within the cemetery will have seen what happened and will be able to provide information that can help with our investigation.

“Those individuals are asked to contact police immediately.”
