Dancing down a rabbit hole

a DANCE production described as “a hallucinatory journey down the rabbit hole” is to appear at Brunton Theatre.

David Hughes’ Last Orders, which premiered at this year’s Fringe, will appear at the theatre in Musselburgh as part of a Scottish tour.

Inspired by the 16th century legend of cannibal Sawney Bean, the production takes its audience through a tale set in caves and derelict nightclubs, using cinematic techniques.

The performance is a follow-up to 2009’s award-winning The Red Room, which appeared at the theatre in April 2011, and is recommended for those aged 14 and over.

It is produced in association with National Theatre of Scotland with Creative Scotland and Made In Scotland 2011.

The performance will take place on October 1 at 7.30pm. For tickets call the box office on 0131-665 2240 or see www.bruntontheatre.co.uk.
