Daniel tunes up for finals

A YOUNG singer from Leith is on track to make it through to the final of a national competition.

Daniel Crawford, 14, cleared the regional final of the National Open Mic UK competition with his version of The Script’s Man Who Can’t Be Moved. Now the fourth-year pupil at Leith Academy is tuning up for the area final show in Manchester on December 4 and hoping to continue to the London grand final in January.

He said: “I am excited about performing in Manchester. I had never sung in front of a lot of people before so this is all new and a bit overwhelming.”
