Dealer who sold drugs to police jailed for a year

A CROOK who sold drugs to an undercover police officer on three different occasions has been jailed for one year.

Prince Freddie Gibbons, 26, was snared selling cocaine and heroin in Leith by an officer posing as a member of the public, the city’s sheriff court heard.

Detectives acted after receiving information that the dad of three was a main player in a small network of dealers who operated in Albert Street and Leith Walk.

Depute procurator fiscal Isobel Clark said Gibbons sold £100 of heroin to the officer on June 14. He then handed over £50 worth of cocaine three days later and a £100 batch of heroin on June 24.

Gibbons pleaded guilty to three charges of being involved in the supply of illegal narcotics.
