A Coach firm has been left devastated after 14 vehicles were set ablaze in a deliberate fireraising attack.

A fire tore through the yard of Ratho Coaches in Newbridge yesterday morning. Firefighters fought to bring the blaze under control for two hours after being alerted to the attack shortly before 6am.

And last night around 40 firefighters were called out to deal with a major blaze at a bedding shop. The cause of the fire at the Dream Beds store in Straiton Retail Park in Midlothian, which began at around 6pm yesterday, is being investigated.
