Dickens tale marks anniversary of Capital reading

A PRODUCTION of A Tale of Little Dombey takes place in the Capital on Monday – 154 years to the day its author Charles Dickens gave a reading in Edinburgh. Two performances to mark this anniversary take place at St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church, George Street, at 3.30pm and 7.30pm, starring Scottish actor Jack Reid.

Costing £8 each, and £6 for concessions, on the door, ticket sales will benefit charity Christian Aid.

On March 26, back in 1858, Dickens gave a public reading of A Christmas Carol.
