Drink driver given ban

A REMOVALS van driver who climbed behind the wheel after a drunken row with his father has been banned from the road.

Colin Anderson, of Caledonian Crescent, Edinburgh, admitted drink driving on the B709 in Innerleithen at 9.30pm on September 4.

Defence agent Elspeth MacDougall said her client “admits it was a foolish, stupid thing to do”.

Sheriff Jamie Gilmour then banned him from the road for 15 months and fined him £300.
