A repeat drug offender has been jailed for more than five years after he was caught with heroin worth £1600.
Rikki Ramsay, 30, was spotted by police on June 27 this year when they turned up with a search warrant for his home in Craigentinny Road.
In a bag on the house pointed out by Ramsay, police found a set of scales and dozens of wraps of heroin in the bag. During the search they also found foil with traces of powder, mobile phones and cash.
Ramsay admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug on June 27 this year.
Lord Woolman said Ramsay would have been jailed for seven years, but following his guilty plea the jail term would be restricted to five years and 219 days.
