Duo gear up for bike trek

TWO Edinburgh cyclists are appealing for donations ahead of their charity venture to Land’s End.

Andrew Robertson, 20, and Cameron Armstrong, 16, will leave from Glasgow on July 13 and hope to arrive in Land’s End on July 21.

The 600-mile, eight-day cycle, part of a UK-wide bike ride by young Catholics, will raise money for charities including African Missions, St Pio’s Friary in Bradford, and Mary’s Meals, which provides children in deprived countries with a daily meal in their place of education.

Having spent the last two months training, the cyclists are seeking kit sponsors, T-shirts, bike maintenance parts and business donations to help them reach their £3000 target.
