Duo to make Scots debut

A PERSIAN performer has teamed up with a Turkish talent for a Capital gig.

Kayhan Kalhor and Erdal Erzincan, who hail from Iran and Turkey respectively, will play at the Queen’s Hall on Thursday, June 14.

Grammy-nominated Kalhor, who was born in Tehran, plays the Kamancheh, a Persian spiked fiddle, while Erzincan plays a variant of a longneck lute call a Baglama.

It is the duo’s first show in Scotland.
