Duo snaps up Dunbar art tender

TWO artists have been commissioned to create a public artwork for a new community building in Dunbar.

Kathryn Hodgkinson and Andrew Siddall won the tender from East Lothian Council for a work to be housed in the premises at Bleachingfield.

A spokesman said: “They would like to invite you on a walk or for a discussion to pick out images and comments that will form a collection of ‘assets’ that they can then incorporated into an abstracted collage on the glass of the new building.

“They would like to see Dunbar through your eyes – what it means to you; where your favourite place is; your favourite detail or close-up view of an object that might reflect the social or physical history of Dunbar.”
