One of the films will introduce viewers to extreme meteorological events in outer space – from methane rain to dust storms as high as mountains. The other tells the story of the voyages of Charles Darwin.

The Easter offering, which runs until April 11, will also include workshops and exhibitions, as well as tours of Salisbury Crags.

Eilidh Massie, marketing manager at Our Dynamic Earth, said: “The technology behind full dome projection has reached new heights and we expect audiences to be blown away by our new films.”
