Edinburgh police called to Waverley Mall after man dies suddenly

Police were called to an area outside an Edinburgh shopping mall following the sudden death of a man.

Officers were sent to Waverley Mall just after 3pm on Tuesday, May 26th.

Pictures showed police officers standing outside part of the shopping centre and an area was cordoned off.

Police say the death is currently being treated as “unexplained.”

Police were called to Waverley Mall in Edinburgh city centre.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to an area near Waverley Mall in Edinburgh at around 3.05pm on Tuesday, 26 May, 2020, following the sudden death of a man.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
