Edinburgh road closed due to car fire

An Edinburgh road has been closed this evening due to a car fire.

Firefighters were called to the vehicle fire in Wester Hailes Road shortly before 5:25pm.

A fire service spokesman said crews are still in attendance.

There are not thought to be any injuries.

Wester Hailes Road has been closed eastbound between the Clovenstone Roundabout and Gillespie Crossroads as a result of the fire.

It is understood that queues have been building in the area.
