Edinburgh’s Grassmarket sealed off after stabbing

Parts of the Grassmarket were sealed off this morning as police investigated a stabbing incident in the historic area.

A man is being treated in hospital after being stabbed during a serious assault in the early hours of this morning.The 38-year-old was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following the attack at 2:30am at a house. Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses to come forward. An area near The White Hart Inn has been cordoned off while detectives investigate.
