THE minister for learning has visited a Lothians primary school after it scored top marks during a recent inspection.

Stoneyhill Primary School in Musselburgh is one of only a small number of Scottish primaries to be rated consistently as “excellent” or “very good” across all five of the key inspection categories.

Dr Alasdair Allan MSP, the Scottish Government’s minister for learning, sciences and Scotland’s languages, visited the school yesterday to congratulate pupils and staff.
He said: “The school has created a vibrant learning environment under Curriculum for Excellence that gives pupils the opportunity to shine at subjects across the board and to develop the skills they need for learning, life and work.”
