EXPERTS at a major health studies institute are to reunite with Malawian graduates at an event marking its 20th anniversary.

Members of the Institute of International Health and Development (IIHD) at Queen Margaret University will meet graduates at the event in Lilongwe, Malawi, on May 7.

IIHD bosses said the institute had already seen 37 Malawians graduate with a Masters or PhD, cementing bonds between the African country and Scotland.

Professor Barbara McPake, IIHD director, said: “This a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the global reach which has been achieved by the Institute over the last 20 years and on the successes of our graduates.”
