A SPECIAL needs school in the Capital has scooped a major national award for its use of technology to aid learning.

Prospect Bank School collected the Learning Through Technology prize at this year’s Scottish Education Awards.

Competition judges were particularly impressed by the Restalrig school’s use of photo and video technology to help pupils communicate and record individual achievements.

Prospect Bank caters for primary age learners with complex and long-term support needs.

The award has been hailed by the city council’s education bosses.

Councillor Paul Godzik, education leader, said: “Their win just shows the wealth of talented teachers that we have working in our great schools.”
