CELEBRITY Big Brother winner Jim Davidson is to make his Fringe debut this August.
The controversial comedian will bring his new hour long show No Further Action to the Assembly Hall on The Mound from 1 – 24 August.
No Further Action will see Jim tell the story of his arrest and the nightmare 12 months that followed, the clearing of his name and winning the heart of the nation all over again as a Big Brother champion.
On announcing his first ever run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jim said: “I have played some of the very best gigs of my career in Scotland – the crowds are like no other in the UK. I can’t believe it’s taken me almost 40 years to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe! I had a rough ride for a while last year, but it’s great to be back on stage doing what I love, and the best way of dealing with a nightmare is to talk about it! I always seem to find the funny side… And then, for a finale, along came Big Brother. Wait till you hear the inside stories on that!”
Having dominated prime time TV comedy for more than a decade, Davidson is best known for hosting shows such as Big Break and The Generation Game.
Ticket for the shows, priced £12-£15, go on sale on Sunday.
