NIGHT NOISE TEAM
EdinburgH-based Night Noise Team launch their dance flavoured new EP, Pieces, at Sneaky Pete’s tomorrow night.
Active on the local scene since 2007, they are the product of Frenchman Fabien Pinardon (bass) and Irishman Sean Ormsby (guitar/vocals).
The duo write, record, produce, arrange and mix their songs themselves but, when performed live, they become a different beast entirely, with the addition of live members Marco Morelli (guitar), Stephen McLaren (keyboards and vox) and Keith Kirkwood (drums).
The band’s music has been heralded by some of the biggest music magazines, and they’ve gained support from BBC Radio 1 Scotland, having played a session for Ally McCrae. At tomorrow’s launch, Night Noise Team will be joined by Granite City band Stanley and gothic electronica artist Sacre Noir.
Sneaky Pete’s, Cowgate, Friday, 7pm, £5, www.sneakypetes.co.uk
This young lo-fi grunge trio have done pretty well for themselves in the last couple of years.
As well as playing the coveted T Break Stage at T in the Park last summer, they’ve earned support slots with the likes of YUCK! and Dum Dum Girls, not to mention picking up valuable airplay on BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio Scotland.
The band, whose members hail from Edinburgh, Inverness and Glasgow, top the bill at Henry’s Cellar Bar on Wednesday night, with support coming from Dolfinz, Sex Hands and Waiters.
It’s a line-up that’s simply too good to miss.
