MUSSELBURGH Amateur Musical Association (MAMA) promise a bright and entertaining start to the New Year at the Brunton Theatre next week.
From Thursday to Saturday, they return to the popular venue with their annual Revue, which helps raise funds for their main production later in the year.
In what has now become something of a tradition, MAMA begin their theatrical year by showcasing the range of talent across the company, with a colourful evening of music and dance.
This year, MAMA aims to take the audience on a trip through the history of musical theatre, from the music halls of the early 20th century to present day blockbusters of the West End and Broadway.
The 2016 programme includes songs from Les Miserables, Phantom Of The Opera, The Sound of Music, Avenue Q and Sunshine On Leith, to name but a few.
President of MAMA Mark Becher says: “As a community theatre company with members of all ages, we are delighted to be able to have the opportunity to showcase the fantastic range of talent we possess across the company and at the same time, raise funds to assist us in meeting the costs of our annual show.”
This year, that show will be Cole Porter’s Anything Goes, which will run at the Brunton Theatre from 13-16 April. Book now to be sure of a seat.
