THE tribute business is in rude health at the Playhouse over the next few days.
First up are Think Floyd, who claim they are not just another tribute band. At the Playhouse tomorrow there will be a chance to discover why.
Established in 1994, Think Floyd faithfully recreate the atmosphere, visuals and musical excellence of Pink Floyd live on stage and are today widely regarded as the UK’s number one Pink Floyd tribute act.
Their new 2015 show celebrates the 40th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, one of the band’s finest albums and features a performance of the entire work, complete with impressive laser light show, along with a selection of music from classic Pink Floyd including The Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Animals, The Division Bell and much more.
On Friday, it’s time to take a chance on Abba Mania, ‘the world’s number one touring ABBA tribute concert’.
Formed in 1999, Abba Mania aims to bring the music of the Swedish Supergroup to their millions of fans, old and new.
Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and Anni-Frid, may have gone their separate ways but their timeless songs live on.
Over two hours, expect to hear Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Mamma Mia, The Winner Takes it All, Super Trouper, Fernando, Take A Chance On Me and many more that continue to fill dance floors worldwide.
