LOCAL playwright Jennifer Adam and director Amy Gilmartin, teamed up with Black Dingo Productions last summer to present Warrior, a play confronting sectarian issues ignited by ignorance as the real world clashes with the fickle online community.
The 16-year-old Evan lives in a different world, a world where he can ignore unwanted attention, shut off from the harsh reality of high school. But when his world is threatened, he reacts hastily with drastic consequences and finds himself arrested for sectarian abuse.
The case seems simple but every story has more than one side. Evan’s fate is undecided, how would you judge his case?
After sell out performances at last year’s Just Festival, Warrior, starring Euan Brockie, Deborah Whyte and John Love, comes to the Discover 21 Theatre at St Margaret’s House, on London Road, for a two-night run next month.
