SET in a trailer in middle America, this is an odd-couple show exploring the nature of art and whether it’s the authenticity of the work that determines it’s value, or the impact it has on the viewer.
Royal Scots Club, Abercromby Place
Arkle Theatre makes a valiant attempt to bring this show to life. On an intricate set both actors gave honest performances, and clearly communicated the message the playwright intended.
However, the play itself left something to be desired. Clunky and devoid of any original ideas it felt like a stretch to keep these two characters together and the audience engaged.
Overall, a great effort on the part of all involved, but a play that is too long by at least half an hour.
