Bobby Roberts Super Circus
Bobby Roberts Super Circus
Have your say

THE Roberts family have been bringing their circus to Scotland every summer for more than 60 years now. Next week, at the Royal Highland Showground, Ingliston, there’s a distinctly international feel to their brand-new 2012 show.

So, roll up for a programme that boasts Hungarian whirlwind jugglers, aerial superstars from Italy and the Ukraine as well as the famous award-winning Konyot musical clowns, pictured below.

Finally, Bobby Roberts’ beautiful Arabian stallions and Summer Roberts’ cheeky ponies add a measure of cute factor to proceedings.

DALKEITH Country Estate, Midlothian, is the place to be for a Diamond Jubilee celebration packed with excitement this weekend.

From Saturday to Tuesday the Estate team will treat visitors of all ages to a host of fun attractions including the revamped adventure playground, complete with new slides and climbing nets. Another highlight of the four-day event will be the opportunity for younger members of the family to pet the venue’s cute goats and saddleback piglets while their parents admire the majestic peacocks, horses and hairy highland cow.

Face painting, a bouncy castle and the ever-popular sandpit will also keep the kids occupied as those looking for a more grown-up Jubilee take a tour of the estate to discover more about the historic oak woods and the wildlife that lives in them.

Let’s just hope the weather holds out, and you could even get a tan while you are there.
