Strange Town youngsters take an experimental turn

THE youngsters of local youth theatre Strange Town take to the stage of The Storytelling Centre tonight and tomorrow in Follow Me, a new play by Alan Gordon.

The experimental piece tells the story of Kate, a girl lost to fate. How did she end up so far from home? Someone must take the blame as the repercussions could reach further than she ever expected . . .

“Follow Me is a play which sprang very much from the ideas of the group of actors performing it,” explains director Steve Small,

“Seeking a break from the norm, the group requested material that was dark in tone with a non-naturalistic form. Alan instantly wanted to tell a modern story combined with elements of Greek mythology. The final result is kind of a Facebook meets Aristotle mash-up.”
