PRESCISION lies at the heart of this performance by Ian Watt.

Hill Street Theatre

Under Tomek Borkowy’s deft direction he brings to life Posterkrantz, a fictional 1920’s Hollywood director whose megalomanic tendencies find him ever more ostracised from the studio chiefs for whom he works.

Funny, savage and engaging, Cut! goes beneath the glamour of the movies to revel in it’s underbelly - the stories the studios would never want you to hear and that the stars would do anything to keep in the shadows.

A set peopled by mannequins gives Watt the perfect playground to allow Posterkrantz’s frustrations and odd perversion to be revealed.

Throughout however, it’s his sure fire delivery - he does a brilliant line in double takes - and hypnotic physicality that engages from start to finish.
