IT is right to remember the atrocity of the terrorist bomb on Pan Am Flight 103, which caused the loss of so many lives.

But there must surely be special stories to tell from friends and relatives who waited in vain that Christmas. So why create six not very interesting fictional characters when the friends and relatives of the 270 killed would have much more poignant stories. Would it not be more powerful for six actors to mouth the real words of the bereaved and let their statements speak for themselves?

At the Scottish Storytelling Centre there was no surprise when the bang came. Turning six pale blue Pan Am chairs on their side did nothing the imagination could not have done better? However, the motive for remembering Lockerbie is always good.
