Hayley Matthews is convinced the skies seem more blue since the lockdown, but her partner is not convinced. Does anyone know the truth?

I was quite tired yesterday morning. Kenny, my partner, and I sat up until 1.30am discussing the difference in the colour of the sky.

He’s very sceptical about my views on t Settle an argument: Has sky changed colour since lockdown? – Hayley Matthews he immediate benefits on the planet from the lockdown as I believe the halt from our mass toxin churn out on Mother Earth can be seen all around – no? For weeks I’ve been saying how crystal clear the sky looks and how fresh the air smells and in general how lovely it is to notice the small changes.

Kenny thinks otherwise and believes that the damage we’ve done over the years will take so much more than a couple of months of lockdown to show a change and he’s adamant that the skies have always been this blue.

I think the sky seems clearer, bluer and brighter than ever! And I believe it’s due to fewer cars and planes and less pollution. It would be interesting to know what everybody else thinks because I have to be honest Kenny is the first person that I’ve spoken to that doesn’t see an immediate change in the planet and I’m starting to question my eyesight.

The videos of dolphins and jellyfish swimming in crystal clear waters in Venice is surely undeniable proof that our couch life is beneficial for a poorly mother Earth.

I’d love to hear the facts from a boffin who could confirm that since we’ve all been staying in our hoose the skies are bluer. Then Kenny can get back to explaining the offside rule to me again – yawn!
