A LEAKING pipe has temporarily shut down a resuscitation room at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
The issue was identified when staff noticed water on the floor at around 9am yesterday. Maintenance workers arrived on the scene and the room was out of action for several hours.
George Curly, NHS Lothian’s acting director of facilities, said: “The leak, from a heating pipe, was quickly repaired and the room was back in use by 2pm. No patients were affected.”
