Ex-TIE chief re-elected

THE former boss of tram firm TIE has had his term as a board member of the trust that runs Edinburgh’s sports facilities extended.

Edinburgh Leisure board members, who are responsible for a number of gyms, unanimously approved the proposal to invite Richard Jeffrey to join the board for a second term.

Mr Jeffrey, who is a co-opted board member, left the trams firm in May and was the council arms-length company’s last chief executive.
