A HAUL of counterfeit goods seized by Trading Standards in West Lothian is set to make its way to some of the poorest communities in Africa and India as part of an aid convoy.

The goods, including clothes and shoes, have been donated to charity National Police Aid Convoys, which delivers humanitarian aid to Russia, Albania, Zambia, Pakistan, Ghana, Rwanda and Bulgaria.

Trading Standards manager Ed Machin said: “We are delighted that the items can be of some use.”
