This striving for individuality is really evident in Edinburgh and one of its most interesting traits when it comes to street chic. No-one wants to be caught wearing the same item as someone else. We are a city famed for our fondness of boutique. Be it in the hub of the West End village, the quirky and youthful offerings from the Grassmarket or the sheer luxury of Thistle Street, there’s a boutique for every budget.

Jarring textures is a classic in the Capital. Wool blends mixed with silks create a hard on the outside, soft on the inside look adopted by many. It’s this playing around with masculine and feminine lines that work so well.
